How to spend a holiday in Djibouti

Djibouti is a small country in East Africa, located right next to the Red Sea. It is a beautiful place with plenty of things to see and do. There are many different kinds of landscapes, including beaches, mountains and deserts, which can be comfortably explored in a rental car from the Djibuti Airport. The capital city of Djibouti is called Djibouti City, but this isn’t necessarily where most tourists stay while visiting the country since there aren’t many hotels located there. Instead, many people choose to stay at one of the resorts near Lac Abboud or on Gore Beach which are both located just south of Djibouti City.

Traveling to Djibouti can be a great adventure

When you arrive in Djibouti, you’ll notice that it’s a Muslim country. This means that many of the locals dress conservatively and cover their heads with scarves. Women may also wear long dresses or skirts instead of shorts or pants.

If you’re traveling on your own, it’s best to avoid walking around at night by yourself–especially if you’re female. The city can be unsafe after dark due to crime rates (although they are lower than other cities). It’s best not to travel alone if possible as well; this will help keep both parties safe from any potential harm while exploring new places together!

There are plenty of things to see once you arrive

Once you arrive, there are plenty of things to see. The National Museum of Djibouti showcases the country’s history and culture through artifacts and artwork from different periods. The Grand Mosque of Djibouti is an impressive structure that was built in 2006 by the Chinese government as a gift to the people of Djibouti. Inside, visitors can admire mosaics depicting scenes from Islamic history as well as calligraphy written by President Guelleh himself! There are also many other mosques around town worth visiting; however this one has been designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site so it may be difficult to get inside if there are too many tourists visiting at once (this happened when I went).

The National Library holds over 15000 books written in French or Arabic along with thousands more magazines and newspapers dating back centuries ago until today’s headlines! There are computers available so you can search through their database while sitting inside one room which features large windows overlooking beautiful gardens outside where birdsong fills your ears while reading quietly under lamplight late at night…or early morning depending upon whether you prefer sunrise or sunset 🙂

The dry season runs from May through October; this is when temperatures are cooler and rainfall is low (but still enough for plants). In these months many tourists visit Djibouti because it’s easier on your body than during other times of year–you won’t have to deal with heat stroke as much as during summer months!

Djibouti is rich in wildlife and has many scenic landscapes

Djibouti is home to many species of wildlife, including the endangered Dorcas gazelle. The country also boasts some spectacular landscapes, making it a great place for hiking or riding through on a camel. There are many things you can do in Djibouti, including visiting historic sites or taking boat trips down its coastline.

The best way to experience Djibouti is by taking a tour or going on an excursion with a local guide

  • A tour or excursion with a local guide is the best way to experience Djibouti. Tours can be arranged by local operators and include visits to markets, shops, beaches and historical sites as well as religious sites such as mosques and monasteries. They also allow tourists to learn about the country’s culture and traditions through their guides’ stories of Djibouti’s history.
  • Tourists should take advantage of this opportunity because it will give them an insight into the lives of its people that they may not otherwise get if they were traveling independently.
